MOUNTAIN BIKING
Mountain Biking Punta Olimpica
After breakfast, we will come with our private transport and with the Bicycles to pick you up from your hotel and we will drive northeast through the Callejon de Huaylas Valley. After 40 minutes from the city of Carhuaz we turn east towards the mountains and start driving towards the entrance of the Huascarán National Park, from the way we will have a wonderful view of the Huascarán mountain on the left, the highest mountain in Peru, and as well as Ulta Mountain on the right. We drive in zigzag to the Olympic Point Pass and we will be at an altitude of 4890 meters. In Punta Olímpica we prepare and equip our bicycles to go down all the way by bicycle to the city of Carhuaz, along the way we will have spectacular views of the Ulta Valley and we will pass through small picturesque villages by bicycle until we reach the city of Carhuaz and in The main square of this city, we can enjoy a delicious handmade ice cream prepared with fruits produced in the valley.
Portachuelo Mountain Biking
After breakfast, we will come with our private transport and with the Bicycles to pick you up from your hotel and we will drive northeast through the Callejon de Huaylas Valley. After 1 hour we will arrive to the city of Yungay and from here we turn east towards the mountains and start driving towards the entrance of the Huascaran National Park sector LLanganuco, where we register and pay the entrance fee. Following our tour in LLanganuco Valley, we will pass by two beautiful lagoons with crystal clear and turquoise waters (Chinancocha and Orconcocha); But the view is even better when we are above and from the Portachuelo pass at 4775 meters.
Here at the Portachuelo pass, we prepare and equip our bicycles to go down all the way in zigzag to the city of Yungay, it will be 45km. by bike, and compared to other routes this is a bit challenging due to the hardness of the road.
If you like to ride a bike downhill and enjoy spectacular views, you should consider this option. The Llanganuco Valley hides a unique and incredible beauty and you will undoubtedly love being in this heavenly place.
1/2 Day of Mountain Biking Punta Callan:
After breakfast, we will come with our private transport and with the Bicycles to pick you up from your hotel and then we will drive west, following the road that connects the coastal cities like Casma and Chimbote with the city of Huaraz, until we reach Callan Punta, This is one of the pass in Cordillera Negra and a perfect viewpoint to appreciate the beauty of the Cordillera Blanca. While we come down by bicycle, we will have even better views from some sections and you will be able to appreciate the splendor of the Cordillera Blanca in almost all its dimensions and take pictures back to the city of Huaraz. Our bike tour will take us ½ day.
