While you may be able to find a less expensive agency than Unlimited Expedition, remember that our aim is to provide a quality service that is good value for your money. The prices are in U.S. dollars and are based on double occupancy of a tent or hostel room unless otherwise stated.
Single occupancy is available at an extra cost. Whilst we endeavor to keep our prices stable, they are dependent on exchange rates, fuel and transport costs and any other unforeseen circumstances and are therefore subject to change.
Prices vary according to the following factors:
The number of people travelling in a group
Whether you opt for public or private transport to and from the trailhead
Whether a stay in a hostel is included as part of the trek
Whether you would like a separate guide and cook
Whether you would like a tailor-made trip, which involves more logistics in moving people and gear and the hiring of donkeys and donkey handlers or porters
Whether you opt for a full package that includes domestic airfares, bus fares, all transfers and hotel accommodation
Insurance
It is a prerequisite that each client has full accident and medical insurance cover including emergency evacuation and repatriation. Please check carefully that your insurance policy covers you for altitudes above 3,000m. You must bring a copy of your insurance certificate with you.
We also strongly recommend that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delay, baggage delay or damage and theft.
TRIP APPLICATION FORMS AND MEDICAL FORMS must be accompanied by
A non-refundable deposit of U.S. $150 per person.
Upon receipt of deposit, you will receive a confirmation in writing, a detailed itinerary, clothing and equipment list, first aid list and any other details pertaining to your trip.
The remaining payment must be made 30 days prior to the commencement of a trip.
Reservations made within 30 days prior to commencement of a trip require full payment at the time of booking when you will receive a confirmation in writing, a detailed itinerary, clothing and equipment list, first aid list and any other details pertaining to your trip.
CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
Upon receipt of written advice, cancellation will take immediate effect with the following charges applying:
Deposit sent for reservation is non-refundable
Between 29 - 14 days prior to trip departure date: 50% of total trip cost
13 days – trip departure date: 100% of total trip cost
We strongly recommend taking out personal trip insurance.
CANCELLATION BY UNLIMITED EXPEDITION
In the exceptional case whereby UNLIMITED EXPEDITION is forced to cancel a trip excluding in circumstances outlined in the liability section, you will receive full reimbursement but we will not be responsible for any additional costs incurred.
Programme change
We strive not to change our programmes. However, on rare occasions due to unforeseen circumstances or for safety reasons, it may be necessary to make small changes to an itinerary. Notification of any such changes will be communicated in full as soon as possible. Such changes do not constitute a cancellation. In cases where clients are delayed for any reason, we will do our utmost to continue with your full itinerary as best we can or to discuss suitable alternatives.
Authority of leaders
For safety reasons, it is necessary that all clients abide by the authority of the leader of the trip. UNLIMITED EXPEDITION reserves the right to terminate the participation of anyone for medical concerns or whose behavior is illegal or likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to others.
Airline bookings
Airline bookings between Lima and Huaraz are subject to the conditions of the airline.
Waiver of Liability
UNLIMITED EXPEDITION TRAVEL AGENCY EIRL cannot accept responsibility for acts outside of the control of the company, which include, but are not limited to, forces of nature including weather conditions, natural disasters, avalanches and other extraordinary forces, political strife, war, riots, terrorism, strikes, transport delays or changes, mechanical breakdown or other irregularities caused by a third party. In addition UNLIMITED EXPEDITION TRAVEL AGENCY EIRL is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, illness or death, cost of emergency response vehicles including helicopters, planes or ambulances, loss or damage to property, inconvenience or discomfort, trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delay or any unforeseen additional expenses incurred. Information or advice provided by UNLIMITED EXPEDITION TRAVEL AGENCY EIRL is given in good faith and without responsibility.
