ITINERARY:

DAY 1: HUARAZ- RONDOY VIA HUALLANCA CITY
After finishing your breakfast we come to pick you up from your hotel with our private transport and drive up to the south east of Huaraz city, first till a small village called Conococha 4100m. And then we keep going up by bus to the east till the Yanashallash Pass 4700m. After that we start descent toward the Huallanca City; but before we can visit the footprint of the dinosaurs (Teropodos) on the way to Antamina Mining before to get to Huallanca city, when we arrive to this City around 12:00 PM we can have a lunch here, after the break we continue with our trip, in one hour and a half more we get to our first camp site and we will set up here the tents, free afternoon and overnight here at 4180m.

DAY 2: RONDOY- JAHUACOCHA VIA SAMBUNYA PASS
Today will be 6 to 7 hours hiking and breathtaking views.  After the breakfast we will start our first day of hiking up to our passes Sanbunya and Rondoy Punta 4850m. we are going to walk by gentile trail and step by step we will get to the highest point, 3 hour walking approximately it will take us to get to the pass, along the way up you will have a beautiful view of some impressive mountains such as: Ninashanca, Rondoy and Yerupaja; but from the pass the view is even much more beautiful, from here we start walking down for ten minutes and then we will take another trail which is an alternative route to get to Minapata view point to get a breathtaking view of the impressive mountains and beautiful lakes of Solteracocha and Jahuacocha, here we will have a break to have a lunch with this magnificent view, then we go down to our second camping place called Inca Wain; but nowadays is very well known for everybody as Jahuacocha, and for many visitors this one of the most beautiful camp site in the Huayhuash Mountain Range.

DAY 3: DAY OFF-(HIKING TO CERRO HUACRISH)
This day is also very beautiful; we will have a bit later the breakfast and as we will spend one more night at the same campsite we do not need to pack anything or set down the tents, so today is more relaxing day, we will walk up to Cerro Huacrish, it will take us about 2 to 3 hours to get there and from here we will have splendid and panoramic view of the Huayhuash and Blanca Range, also we can see the stunning lakes of Jahuacocha and Solteracocha from different angle. It is also possible to observe different types of birds as Andean Cara Caras, flickers, lapwings, and of course the amazing Andean Condors flying very close to us. Here we a break to enjoy this incredible view and have a snack, after that we will come back to the camp ground to have a lunch, free afternoon to go hike to the lake Solteracocha or even go fishing trout.

DAY 4: JAHUACOCHA- LLAMAC- HUARAZ
This is our last day, so we share the last breakfast together in the mountain and we start walking at 7:00 am until Llamac Village, it will takes about 5 to 6 hours to get there, where our private transportation will be waiting for us to take us back to Huaraz city (4 hours), and transfer to Hotel in Huaraz.

  • Not mentioned or additional beverages or meals in villages
