Within the circuit you will be able to appreciate many impressive mountains of more than 6000 meters such as the Huascaran, considered the highest mountain in Peru with its 6768m., Huandoy, Chopicallqui, Chacraraju, Arteson Raju 6025m. Which is also known as the mountaineering Paraount, Quitaraju, Caraz Santa Cruz and of course El Alpamayo, although it does not exceed 6 thousand meters, it is known as the most beautiful mountain in the world thanks to a survey of scenic photographs conducted in 1966 in the city from Munich Germany where it won this recognition as the most beautiful mountain, for having an impressive snow-capped peak with a perfect pyramid shape. This lagoon is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the Cordillera Blanca and is located at an altitude of 4600m. , and it is surrounded and right at the foot of the mountains of Pisco and Chacraraju. For many tourists, this is one of the most impressive day trips within the Cordillera Blanca and although it is considered difficult to achieve by some, because of the height and a challenging path, especially in the last section, the vast majority of people have managed to do it.
The first hour you walk in an almost flat area, in some sections you pass by Quenual trees, if we look back, in the background we can see the Huascarán mountain, which is the highest peak in Peru, as well as Chopicalqui, and Mount Yanapaccha; Then we start up the zigzag path and along the way we can see the waterfalls in the valley. Being here by the lake you will be impressed by the beauty of the lake and the Pisco and Chacraraju mountains in the background, here we take the rest for the photos, have lunch and enjoy this unique and wonderful landscape before returning by the same path to Yurac Corral, where we are going to spend the night.
